Growing Together

Whoever you are, wherever you're from, you are welcome here.

Brightway Center is a safe place where young people can come and be themselves. We also believe it is our responsibility to grow their character, their relationships and their faith. Our programs and activities are designed to teach young people how to critically evaluate situations and communicate effectively with their peers as well as develop their leadership skills. At the same time, they learn important character traits such as self-control, self-discipline, and respect for others. By participating in Brightway programs, our youth learn to apply these skills as they face challenge and adversity in their everyday lives.

Nine unit courses are available. The e-course content can be used by any student.
S.T.A.R. Program Webinars are live and free and open to students, parents- everyone!
These webinars focus on a specific topic and use videos, polls and video chat features.
Our goal is to provide relevant content that is available anytime, anywhere, anyplace.

Mentor Programs

Get Connected. Go Deeper.

When children and teens have the influence of a caring adult, they are more likely to avoid risky behaviors and to focus on academics. Cross age peer mentor programs provide growth and learning opportunities for both mentors and mentees, resulting in a “double impact.” Today's youth face a variety of challenges and being matched with a mentor can help them navigate these challenges. Brightway provides a mentor program for students from elementary through high school. Mentor programs meet monthly.

S.T.A.R. Mentor Program

Cross Age Mentoring Program

Youth-Adult Mentor Program

CAMP is a structured, evidence-based developmental 1:1 cross-age peer mentoring program that matches high school peer mentors with mentees in elementary or middle school. Mentors and mentees meet monthly or weekly for an activity using the CAMP Connectedness Curriculum. Freshman, sophomores and juniors can be peer mentors. CAMP mentors do not need to possess any special skills or abilities.
The S.T.A.R. (Students Taking Action Responsibly) program is a small group mentor program that matches adult mentors with 7th - 12th grade mentees. Mentors and mentee meet monthly for an activity using an evidence-based mentor curriculum. Participants also go on college and job site visits as well as field trips.

Youth Activites

In keeping with our mission, youth activities are designed to develop the character and leadership of our young people.  We incorporate  team building, conflict resolution, sportsmanship and other life skills into
games and competitions. Our goal is win or lose, everyone has fun, meets someone new and feels good about themselves. These FREE activities are scheduled throughout the year and transportation is provided.
